ModSecur Micro Datacenter was the choice of the Municipality of Fafe to restructure its technological infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new data center implemented in the Municipality of Fafe meets all the requirements of the city.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe solution we chose offers us physical security and features redundancy of essential components. In addition, it is equipped with a monitoring and alarm system, which is very important to us, as it makes us more relaxed as we will respond quickly to any problems that may occur.” says Jorge Oliveira, Head of the Municipality’s Informatics, Modernization and Administrative Simplification Division. ModSecur Micro Datacenter (MDC), being hermetic, allows its implementation in any location, as it does not produce annoying noise, which is \u201can additional advantage that gives value to the solution\u201d, he adds. ModSecur MDC provides an exponential reduction in infrastructure energy costs, \u201ca must-have for any municipality\u201d.<\/p>\n

MDC: a winning solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

The data center that served the Municipality of Fafe had \u201cseveral physical problems and infiltrations in the place where the racks were\u201d. Jorge Oliveira tells us that \u201cthe space itself was not safe and there were several gaps in terms of electricity supply and cooling, as well as poor maintenance\u201d. Currently, the Municipality of Fafe has a \u201cresilient and completely secure\u201d data center and considers that the implementation of the ModSecur solution was \u201ca totally right choice\u201d.<\/p>\n

Trust in the ModSecur brand<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maxiglobal was already known to the Municipality of Fafe due to previous \u201cfiber optic installation\u201d projects. Jorge Oliveira already knew that the company \u201cworks well\u201d and in this project he confirmed \u201cMaxiglobal’s professionalism and the quality of ModSecur products\u201d. He highlights the \u201cintelligent scheduling of installation and migration without interrupting the normal functioning of the Municipality\u201d. The implementation of the data center went \u201cas expected, surpassing expectations, as it was completed before the established deadline\u201d. About the benefits of this micro data center, Jorge Oliveira highlights the \u201cphysical security, the redundancy of the main equipment and the monitoring and alarm system\u201d.<\/p>\n

ModSecur MDC implemented in Fafe includes cooling, fire detection and extinction system, physical and logical security, UPS and even a DCIM management system (ModSecur EMS) that allows remote monitoring of the infrastructure in real time. The solution features redundant HVAC and power systems (UPS), thus ensuring infrastructure availability, continuity and resilience.<\/p>\n
